Consideration on the Cleaning Effect of Black Contaminants using Visible-Near-Infrared (VNIR) Hyperspectral Images

VNIR hyperspectral images can be analyzed in situations involving color changes, such as before and after cleaning, without pre-treatment. In this study, to analyze the application of system, we compared black contaminants on surface Jigwangguksa Pagoda upper stereobate at Beopcheonsa Temple, Wonju cleaning with laser. After a preliminary experiment evaluate applicability imaging, took four sides (north, south, east, west). The 823 nm band image was used for comparing cleaning. As per result differencing analysis about spectral reflectance area where performed showed tendency increase. Additionally, it found that not only washed but also extent change could calculated through monochrome quantitative comparison, imaging using system sufficiently effective comparison
